Engineering solution:

Six regional sterilisation super-centres with full plant equipment, management and personnel facilities. The centres are based in West Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Devon and Hampshire. Each site required a twenty-two week construction period using a sectional completion (overlapping) schedule to ensure an early sign-off date. The client needed to ensure that current directives put forward by the Healthcare Commission are met in light of the introduction of HBN 13. In addition, the centres increase efficiency and release valuable hospital areas as ward and theatre space.
