Cfes receives a thank you letter from Professor Oliver Shanley

“I am writing to thank you for all your help in the set up and running of the NHS London Nightingale Hospital over the past 4 months. As you know, we were asked to establish the hospital set up at short notice to help support our colleagues working in the local acute hospitals to manage the rising demand from COVID-19 patients. With your help we were successful in setting up the hospital. With the support of the hospital, it gave assurance to the wider system that we can response quickly and provide additional bed capacity. Your efforts in support of this are hugely appreciated – thank you.
As you know the hospital is due to close at the end of March 2021 and in view of the knowledge and skills the whole team now possess we hope to also offer temporary members of staff who have supported the mobilisation of the hospital an opportunity to continue working with us.
We are offering these options should we need to mobilise the Nightingale Hospital, during the near future, as this will allow us to mobilise the team swiftly with less disruption to business as normal as possible. Thank you once again for your dedication to patient welfare and your support to colleagues across our health and social care services.
Take care and keep safe”
