Design and Build contractor appointed under a Framework agreement with Spire Healthcare to undertake the phased redevelopment of the existing hospital to facilitate new clinical and care provisions for patients as part of Spire Healthcare’s service provision for NHS Lothian. The key project aims were to increase capacity whilst maintaining compliance with HBNs, SHPN’s and Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) requirements.

“We at Spire Shawfair Park Hospital would like to say a big thank you to everyone from CFES involved in the recent redevelopment projects within our hospital”….From the beginning of the project, with initial site meetings, to the completion the whole CFES team has been very professional, friendly and taken pride in their work. Due to the nature of our business the site has presented many challenges but throughout the whole CFES team have sought to ensure that our patients care was disrupted as little as possible and for that we are grateful.
Communication was excellent both ahead of the works at pre-planning stage, during the work and at the snagging stage. Regular communication meant that everyone involved was aware of the timeline and what was expected of them within the project. CFES endeavoured to ensure they always consulted with the clinical team regarding any
changes to the agreed plans and timelines so that it did not interfere with day to day work and our needs were met.
All Staff on site were polite and courteous and were respectful of our staff and building.
